Overview

This Payment Policy explains how payments are handled on the SkillZim platform for both learners and instructors. SkillZim is a solution owned and operated by JayK Communications Pvt Ltd, and all financial transactions on the platform are processed securely through SkillZim to ensure safety, transparency, and fair distribution of funds.

Payments from Learners

Course Purchases

  • •Some courses on SkillZim are free, while others require payment before access.
  • •Learners must complete payment and confirm it through the platform to gain full access to paid course content.
  • •Payments are made directly to SkillZim, not to instructors, to prevent scams, payment disputes, or unfulfilled promises.

Payment Methods

  • •SkillZim accepts various payment options including local mobile money, bank transfers, and other supported digital payment methods.
  • •All payments are processed securely through verified payment gateways.

Refunds

  • •Refunds are only considered in cases where a learner cannot access a course after a valid payment has been made or if a course is proven to be misleading.
  • •All refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase and are subject to review.

Instructor Earnings and Commission

Revenue Share

  • •SkillZim retains 25% of every course payment made by learners.
  • •The remaining 75% is paid to the instructor after the learner's payment has been confirmed.
  • •This deduction covers platform maintenance, hosting, support services, and AI assistant features that enhance the learning experience.

Payment Schedule

  • •Instructor payments are processed periodically (e.g., weekly or monthly) depending on the payout schedule.
  • •Payments are made via the method registered by the instructor in their SkillZim profile.

Transparency and Records

Instructors can view their sales reports, total earnings, and pending payments through their dashboard.

AI Usage Fees

  • Learners may be charged separately for accessing premium features of SkillZim AI, depending on their usage.
  • Instructors access SkillZim AI tools for free, as their usage costs are covered through the 25% commission retained by SkillZim.

Security and Anti-Fraud Measures

  • All transactions must be processed through SkillZim.
  • Direct payments between learners and instructors outside the platform are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.
  • SkillZim continuously monitors payment activity to ensure fairness, accuracy, and compliance with local financial regulations.
